Due to the recent rains, the forecast for flow levels in the Flint River and Lake Blackshear have been increasing.The current forecast is that flows at Montezuma gage site will peak at late Sunday night at 26.4 feet. This peak will then move through Lake Blackshear late Monday and Tuesday. The Power Commission is lowering the levels in anticipation of this event to at least 4 feet below normal.The Commission does not anticipate levels will rise to any level that may cause any serious problems. The Commission will continue to monitor the situation as it develops. Stronger and faster flows downstream from the dam should use caution.
