PINEHURST — Louise J. Bowen, age 94, of Pinehurst, died Thursday, January 14, 2015, at her daughter’s home.
Born in Pinehurst, she was the daughter of the late Leon Joiner and Patricia Wilson Joiner. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and served as Tax Commissioner of Dooly County before her retirement.
She is survived by her daughters, Marcia Bowen Powers (Ed) of Macon and Kay Bowen Cason (Eugene) of Vienna; 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Leon Bowen and her husband, Carl Bowen.
Funeral services will be at 3 PM Sunday, January 17 in Liberty Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery.
