The Wilcox County Patriots started slow then started clicking and consequently they are now in control of their on destiny win a few more winnable games and you are in the play offs.
“The guys have really started to gel, they are working hard, working together and reducing mistakes and that is a winning combination,” said Head Coach Clint Bloodsworth. “ The remaining schedule we have is achievable, they have to stay focused on the task at hand.” With an 11-9 overall record and 8-5 in the region, the Patriots have 3 remaining region games against teams they have already beaten decisively this year. If they win out in the region then the # 3 seed is almost a lock. With Strong Senior leadership the playoffs look promising for The Patriots.

With year to date mark of 15 and 5 overall and a region record of 9 and 4 the Lady Patriots have a firm grip on the # 3 seed in the region.” The girls have really stepped up their game and are focusing on the little things now that make a good team,” said Santita Coon the Lady’s head mentor. Led on offense by Sophomore Trajata Colbert and Senior Daisja Daniels the lady Pats put up some impressive numbers. A relentless defense and team unity make Wilcox a power to be reckoned with. The remaining schedule for the Lady Pats could get them to a 20 win season, it is within reach.
