Melissa Faye Pate

CORDELE — Funeral services for Melissa Faye Pate of Cordele were held on Monday, February 29, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Rainey Family Funeral Services. Burial followed in the Arabi Cemetery.  The family received friends prior to the service Monday beginning at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Melissa, 49,  passed away Saturday, February 27, 2016 at her residence.  She was born in Cordele to Joe Alvin Pate and Betty Faye Hendrix.  Melissa was an active member of Arabi Baptist Church.  She is survived by her companion, Bob Peavy of Cordele; a son, Christopher Kyle Pate of Arabi;  siblings, two brothers and their wives, Larry and Gail Pate of Ashburn and Jeffrey Scott and Stephani Pate of Arabi and sister, Shelley Stillwell of Arabi.
