Cats down Westwood

In Diamond Action the Crisp Academy Wildcats hosted the Westwood Wildcats on Monday. However, the Big Cats were not very hospitable handing out a 12-2 drubbing to the visitors.
South paw William Purvis struck out 9 batters to get the win. On the offensive side of things Garrett Holt and Griffin Gravitt bang out two hits each and William Bodrey spanked a 2 run homer to lead the Big cats to the win. “This was a good win for the boys playing against larger schools and competing, the boys are starting to gel,” said Head Coach Chuck Hester.
The Crisp Academy Wildcats moved to 2-0 in Region 3 of GISA after defeating Grace Academy 7-5 on Saturday in Bainbridge. Garrett Holt got tagged for the win striking out 5 and William Bodrey picked up another save on the year.
In the contest Aaron Titshaw went on a proverbial tear picking up 4 hits, in which 3 of them were doubles. William Purvis garnered 3 hits including a 2 run homer and Bodrey added 2 doubles in the contest. The Big Cats host Westwood Tuesday and Georgia Christian Wednesday before visiting SGA on Friday in Damascus.. “ I keep telling the boys it’s the little things done correctly over and over that get you wins” said Head Coach Chuck Hester.
