CORDELE — Funeral services for Bobby Jolly were held at 4 p.m., Friday, May 20, 2016, in the chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Kent and Rev. Phil Streetman officiating. Burial followed in Sunnyside Cemetery with Rev. Linda Osborne officiating.
Jill Gibbs, pianist, played for the service. She also accompanied Peggy Haralson and herself as they sang “One Day At A Time” and “How Great Thou Art.”
Pallbearers were: Sheriff Billy Hancock, Mike Mitchell, Buddy Leger, Charlie Wayne Bennett, Jeff Taunton, Dale Frazier, Randy Coker, Zack Wade and Billy Jones. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Georgia State Patrol
Bobby passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2016, in Cordele, Ga. He was a native of Cuthbert, Ga. and the son of the late John Robert Jolly and the late Fannie Jo Faircloth Jolly. He was preceded in death by a son Jeffrey Scott Jolly. He was a retired shop foreman for Branan Motor Company and a member of Peavy Memorial United Methodist Church.
Bobby was survived by his wife Dorothy P. Jolly of Cordele, Ga.; sons: Joe Jolly and his wife Tammy of Cordele, Ga., Jay Jolly and his wife Christine of Woodstock, Ga. and Jim Jolly and his wife Teresa of Cordele, Ga.; brother: Jerry Jolly and his wife Rachel of Graves, Ga.; sister: Jenann Jones and her husband Don of Blue Ridge, Ga.; grandchildren: Matt Jolly and his wife Tiffany, Abbie Jolly, Cassidy Jolly and Cade Jolly.
