ASHBURN — Brenda Gail Robertson Perry, 66, of Ashburn passed away Monday, May 23, 2016 at Pruitt Healthcare in Ashburn after an extended illness.
Born on April 19, 1950 to the late John Poole and Sarah Zell Sargent Robertson, she was a member of the Ashburn First Baptist Church where she taught pre-school Sunday School for many years. Brenda received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Business Education from the University of Alabama. She was a business education teacher having taught at Turner County High School as well as the college level. She also owned and operated The New Yorker Store for 20 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Eilene Perry of Ashburn; son, Jonathan Paul Perry of Ashburn; brother, Rodney (Carol) Robertson of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; sister, Sheila (Ken) Skelton of Magnolia, Texas. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 26, 2016 at the Ashburn First Baptist Church at 11:00 AM with interment at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends Wednesday, May 25, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Perry Funeral Home of Ashburn has charge of the arrangements.
