COBB — Gary Wayne Tucker of Cobb passed away Sunday, May 22, 2016 in Montgomery, AL as the result of injuries that he received in a motorcycle accident.
He was born in Americus, Sumter County and was the son of the late Beverly Seborn and Lizzy Jane Timmons Tucker. He was a retired plumber. Gary was a gifted musician, playing bass, piano, guitar and steel guitar. He used his talent playing with bands Boot Hill Express and New Direction. He played regularly for the Sowega Council On The Aging, nursing homes and churches. He was an avid motorcycle rider.
Gary is survived by his wife of 45 years, Linda Fortson Tucker of Cobb;  his children, Gary Scott Tucker and Sandy Marie Walls, both of Cobb and Robert Curtis Tucker of Hawkinsville;  sister, Betty Joyce Massey of Cordele; and eight grandchildren, Lauren Ashley Walls, Tyler Stone Walls, Desmond Tucker, William Curtis Tucker, Isabella Marie Tucker, Cacey Lynn Tucker, Jessee Lee Tucker and Nathaniel Elijah Tucker. He was preceded in death by a brother, Alphie Steve Tucker.
