MOREHEAD CITY, NC. — Dr. Mance R. Cason, 88, of Morehead City, NC passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at his home.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, June 25, 2016 at First Free Will Baptist Church in Morehead City with Rev. Rick Cason and Rev. Reuben Cason officiating.  Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.

Dr. Cason was a pastor for over 68 years; for 20 of those years he served at First Free Will Baptist Church in Morehead City.

He is survived by his wife, Janice H. Cason; two sons, Rick Cason and wife Debbie of Glennville, GA and Reuben Cason and wife Terry of Bailey, NC; sister, Delana Franks of Lebanon, TN; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Lillian Cason; sisters, Stella Ray and Emmie Yawn; brothers, Otis Cason, Henry Cason and Russell Cason.

The family will welcome friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Friday, June 24, 2016 at First Free Will Baptist Church in Morehead City.
