CORDELE — Officials with the Cordele Police Department are currently on the lookout for a suspect they believe attempted an armed robbery at a local Dollar General.

The incident took place Sunday night at approximately 9 p.m. at the store located at 402 South 7^th Street in Cordele.

Authorities have not received a description of the robber to release at this time. Anyone with any information is encouraged to contact the Cordele Police Department. The Cordele Dispatch will provide updated information as it is released.
