CORDELE — Funeral services for Dorothy “Dot” Manders, 83, were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016 at Lake Blackshear Baptist Church. Burial followed in Sunnyside Cemetery. The family received friends at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Monday, Sept. 19, 2016.

Mrs. Manders died at her residence on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016. She was born in Sylvester, Ga. to the late John Leon Adair and the late Lena Cora Ingram Adair. She is preceded in death by her sister, Azilee McGahee. She was a faithful member of Lake Blackshear Baptist Church

Surviving “Miss Dot” is her husband: Marvin Manders of Cordele; her children; Emily (Wayne) McDaniel, Leon (Deborah Beck) Manders, Nancy Lynn Young and Marie (Darren) Clavier all of Cordele; her grandchildren: Will Young, Jake Young, Sarah Manders and Jesse Clavier.

The family also wished to express their love and appreciation for their mother’s sitter, Ernestine Newsome.
