Ms. Coach says this past week was very blurry to her and it was hard to tell who would win. She thinks maybe the hurricane could have had an impact. After having hit on 17 out of 27 this past weekend, Ms. Coach’s record moved to 104-37 (.738) for the year. I am certain she can improve on that this week.
In the high school arena Crawford County visits Dooly County for homecoming and it looks like Dooly County may out soar the eagles. Wilcox visits Charlton County in what should be a decent ball game, Indians win. Crisp Academy takes on Appling Christian and gets the win. Fullington hosts Johnson Ferry and picks up another W. The mighty 6-0 Crisp County Cougars host Monroe in their first region game. Monroe will be hungry for revenge after last years Cougar win in Albany. Monroe has a very good team with lots of size and athletes; conventional wisdom says that if the Cougars play their game they win by 3 touchdowns or more.
The college ranks looks to have a lot of exciting games this weekend. Starting with Louisville over Duke and BYU over Mississippi St. Also Ms. Coach likes Oklahoma, West Virginia, Clemson, Nebraska, Florida State, Baylor, Miami, Virginia Tech, Florida, Utah, Houston, Texas and LSU all picking up wins. At the start of the year Ms. Coach would have thought for sure that Ga Southern had a real chance of beating Ga. Tech but after the dismal coaching performance by the eagles last week Paul Johnson will eat them alive, Tech wins. Also Georgia should be able to handle Vanderbilt. Ole Miss travels to Fayetteville, Arkansas in what should be a huge SEC matchup. Ms. Coach just can’t see Ole Miss losing any more games this year. Stanford and Notre Dame should provide for a good nap for everyone as both teams have been sorely disappointing this year. Notre Dame pulls the upset. Up north Wisconsin hosts Ohio State and though the Badgers are capable of pulling the upset, the Buckeyes win it.
They snort pixie dust, eat four leaf clovers carry rabbits feet in their pants pockets and have horseshoes hanging around their neck. The Tennessee Volunteers have been lucky all year and they nearly pulled off another miracle out at College Station last Saturday. The Volunteers host the mighty Tide of Alabama. An almost unbelievable behemoth of football legends and folklore. The number #1 football program in America now and for all time. They have the best athletes and best coach in the land. They are the gold standard, the benchmark that all programs aspire to be like. The tide is unstoppable!! Not so fast they make mistakes like everyone else and Ms. Coach says that with a beat up and battered squad of lucky under achievers the Volunteers will pull the biggest upset in recent history at Neyland stadium on Saturday. In a defensive struggle Vols win 24 BAMA 23. Oh and look for this game to go down to the wire!
