ALLEENE LEE

Perry – Alleene Brown Lee, born October 30, 1927, in Fort Worth, Texas, to the late Howard and Ethel Presson, passed away on the morning of Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at her residence in Perry, Georgia.  She was 89 years old.

A Middle Georgia resident for most of her life, Alleene was a self-employed accountant with Brown and Mitchell Tax Service in Centerville.  She was an avid domino player and was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Cordele.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, James W. Brown and Robert E. Lee.

She leaves her memory behind with her loving son, Jim Brown (Doris) of Bonaire and daughter, Carolyn Rogers (Jackie) of Pineview; stepchildren, Cathy Wilkerson (Al), Bobby Lee (Gail), and their children, all of Cordele; grandchildren, Jennifer and David Brown, and Joshua and Jeremiah Rogers; and a number of adoring nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation was Friday, November 4, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home and funeral services commenced at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.

Following the service, Mrs. Lee was laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
