A graveside service for Glenn Lewis Wilkerson of Cordele will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service Thursday beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Rainey Family Funeral Services.  Glenn passed away Monday, May 15, 2017 at his residence.  Born in Cordele, he was the son of the late Leonard Lewis Wilkerson and Jewel Mae Livingston Wilkerson.  He was a veteran of the United States Army and a Retired Correctional Officer. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed watching and playing baseball. Before his declining health he enjoyed fishing. Most important to him was his time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Glenn is survived by his wife of 20 years,Frankie Wilkerson of Cordele; three sons and their wives, Shannon and Jana Wilkerson, Eric and Alissa Wilkerson and Brian Wilkerson, all of Cordele; a step-daughter, Deirdra Simmons of Cordele; two grandchildren, Caleb Wilkerson and Amelia Wilkerson; and two sisters and their husbands, Linda and Kenny Wade and Lorene and Charles Gray, all of Cordele.
