Betty J. Massey passed away Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Crisp Regional Hospital.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2017 in the chapel of Rainey Family Funeral Services with burial following in Sunnyside Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Betty was born in Cordele and was the daughter of Beverly Seborn Tucker and Janie Lizzie Timmons Tucker.  She was a homemaker and until her declining health was an active member of Bible Methodist Church. Betty’s life centered around her family and especially her grandchildren and spending time with them. She is survived by her son and his wife, Duane and Deborah Massey of Douglas; and two grandchildren, Lara Leigh Massey and Tanner Massey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Massey; her parents, Beverly Seborn Tucker and Janie Tucker Turner; and two brothers, Steve Tucker and Gary Tucker.
