CAROLYN CASON HOBBS

Carolyn Cason Hobbs of Cordele passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon. She was preceded in death by a son and daughter, Roger Raymond Hobbs and Renee Hobbs. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 28, 2017 at Lake Blackshear Baptist Church with the committal service following in Sunnyside Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 til 8:00p,m. at Rainey Family Funeral Services. Carolyn was born in Wilcox County and was the daughter of the late Charlie Jackson Cason and Lola Beatrice Faircloth Cason. She was the co-owner and operator of Arrowhead Grocery for many years, and a faithful and active member of Lake Blackshear Baptist Church and the church choir. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, William Raymond Hobbs, Jr. of Cordele;  two daughters, Robin Hobbs Bridges and her fiance, Johnny Stubbs of Cordele;  Reesa Hobbs Frezier and her husband, Serge of Ellijay; four grandchildren, Tara Hobbs and her fiance, Shane Sharp of Cordele, Toni Hobbs Weldon and her husband, Matt of Forsyth, Elodie Frezier of Ellijay and Sophie Stubbs of Cordele; two great-grandchildren, Ivey Weldon Walton and her husband, Eric, and Lawson Weldon, all of Forsyth; and one great-great-granddaughter, Adaline Walton of Forsyth.
