CORDELE, GA — Funeral services for Rusty Fultz, 51, will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017, in the chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Penia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017 at the funeral home. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Penia Baptist Church Building Fund or the Church Organ Fund. Rusty died Saturday night, Nov. 25, 2017 at Crisp Regional Hospital.
Rusty was born in Cordele, Ga. to Paula Faye Smith Fultz Owens and the late Julius Fultz. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Randy Fultz, his step-father, Johnny Owens, and his grandparents.
He was a member of the Penia Baptist Church. He was a retired receiving supervisor for Harvey’s Supermarket and owner of The Camoed Cleaners. He was also known for his fondness of camouflage and the love of his family and friends, which was evident to everyone.
Survivors include his wife: Lisa Fultz of Cordele; his sons: Russell Fultz and Remington Fultz both of Cordele; his mother, Paula Faye Owens of Cordele; his brother: Ricky (Deborah) Fultz of Cordele; his step-sister: Denise (Richard) Terry of Rochelle; his step-brother: Charles (Faye) Owens of Savannah; his mother-in-law: Glenda Gill; his brother-in-law: Walter (Tammy) Gill; and several nieces and nephews.
Rusty may be gone, but he lives on through his unselfish love for his fellowman by being an organ donor.
