Funeral services for Homer Clyde Adams of Cordele will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, December 30, 2017 in the chapel of Rainey Family Funeral Services. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends prior to the service Saturday beginning at 3:00 p.m. Homer, 84, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Wilcox County and was the son of the late Frank Adams and Clyde Daniels (Adams) Bell. A veteran of the United States Army, he was a custom mill wood worker and designer. He loved his job so his biggest hobby included doing his woodworking and making beautiful pieces such as mantles and anything wood. He also enjoyed watching and feeding his birds. Homer is survived by his wife of 25 years, Ruth Crenshaw Adams of Cordele; his children and their spouses, Sheree and Rodney Burdette of Lawrenceville, Tony Adams of Warner Robins, Jeff Murphy of Cordele, Amanda and Charles Hall of Arabi, Cathy and George Woods of Chula and Stacy and Clint Britt of Cordele; two sisters and their husbands, Dorothy and Ronald Wade of Hawkinsville and Doris and Wade White of Americus; 15 grandchildren, Karl and Rachel Burdette, Daniel Burdette, Jessica Murphy, Jay and Krissy Murphy, Reed and Kristin Hall, Meagan Haghshenas, Gage Hall, Sevin Woods, Ashlyn Woods, Logan Woods, Courtney Foster, Tyler Foster, Candace Clem, Ryan Clem and Lakin and Kerry Wisham; and eight great-grandchildren, Annelise Murphy, Maddie Murphy, Hayes Hall, Branynn Hall, Gabe Clem, Khloe Clem, Kaden Wisham and Kasen Wisham.
