CORDELE- The Crisp County Cougars finished the region 1-AAA basketball tournament off Friday night with a 66-63 loss to Dougherty County. The loss means the Cougars finished as the four seed in the region, but their win over Worth County last Tuesday ensured they clinched a spot in the GHSA AAA state playoffs. They will open the playoffs on the road against the champion of region 2-AAA, Tattnall County. The Tattnall County Warriors have accumulated a 14-13 record so far this season and won their region championship last week by defeating a very solid Long County team. Tipoff is set for 5:30 in Reidsville on Saturday afternoon.
