Crisp County Rec Department 

The Crisp County Recreation Department All-Stars swept through the first round of District play. All three basketball teams 8u, 10u, and 12u won their respective seeding games and are heading into Saturday as the number one seed in their divisions. First up was the 8 and under baby Cougars who defeated Thomasville YMCA 17-16. Then the 10 u kids outpaced a much bigger Tifton squad 34 to 12. In the big kid action the 12u destroyed Thomasville YMCA 69-27 and then turned around and spanked Tift County 63 to 41 to claim the number one seed title. The Cougars will face off in Tifton and Thomasville on tomorrow for the District titles. A full report will be made available in the Wednesday edition of the Dispatch, as well as online.
