Funeral services for William Marvin Lacy of Columbus will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2018 in the chapel of Rainey Family Funeral Services with burial following in Sunnyside Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service Wednesday beginning at 1:00 p.m. Marvin, 87, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018 at Muscogee Manor and Rehabilitation Center in Columbus. He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Anne Lacy in 2010. He was born in Ashburn, Turner County and was the son of the late William Irvin Lacy and Hannah Priest Lacy. A veteran of the United States Army, he served his country during the Korean Conflict. He was an electronics sales rep for Consolidated Electrical in Albany. He was a member of Mercedes Baptist in Albany but had attended Cascade Hills Baptist after moving to Columbus. Marvin is survived by his children, a son, Bill Lacy of Columbus and a daughter and her husband, Robin and Paul McElveen of Loganville; and a granddaughter, Kayla McElveen of Loganville.
