- Jarquavius Brown will continue his basketball career as a Columbia State Charger after signing his letter of intent.
Dooly basketball star signs for Columbia State Community College
VIENNA- On Friday morning, Dooly County senior basketball player, Jarquavius Brown, signed his letter of intent to play college basketball at Columbia State Community College in Columbia, Tennessee. Brown led the Bobcats in scoring this season, averaging just shy of 21 points per game. He also averaged 4.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.6 steals per game this season. Brown scored over 1300 points in his Dooly County High School career. His efforts this season helped lead the Bobcats to the region semifinals and the second round of the single A state playoffs.
“We thank him (Jarquavius) for everything he has done here at Dooly County High School, and we thank his family for being here. We are proud of him,” said Dooly County High School Athletic Director Jimmy Hughes.
“First off I would like to thank God for the opportunity, and I would like to thank my family for being here with me, and the coaches,” said Jarquavius.
