Michelle “Micki” Walker Arthur

Funeral services for Michelle “Micki” Walker Arthur of Cordele were held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 28, 2018 in the chapel of Rainey Family Funeral Services with Rev. Phil Streetman officiating. Phil McDevitt, bagpiper, played “Nearer My God To The Thee” as the processional. “Tears In Heaven” was played during the service. The bagpiper played “Amazing Grace” as the recessional. Micki passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at her residence.  A private burial was held at Kimbrell Cemetery in Worth County. Micki was born in Miami, FL and was the daughter of the late Joel Samuel Walker and Floris Valentine Dwelley Walker. She was the owner and operator of Quality Dry Cleaners in Cordele. A successful businesswoman, she always had a smile and a word for everyone that she met. Micki is survived by her daughter, Courtney Tomlinson and Brad Brown of Fitzgerald; her sister, Shan Paramore of Sandy Springs; a niece and nephew, Valerie Bridges and Brett Bridges and his wife, Holly; and her furbaby, Kate. The family suggests that memorials be made to the Cordele Animal Shelter, 501 North 7th Street, Cordele, GA 31015 or Katz Veterinary Hospital, 2620 Hwy 90 South, Cordele, GA 31015.
