Kenneth R. Wells, 71, of Tallahassee, FL, passed away Wednesday, August1, 2018.

The memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 10, 2018 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Judson Orrick officiating.  Interment will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens.

Kenneth Wells was born May 31, 1947 in Crisp County, GA, the son of Doyce Leonard Wells and Hazel Magdalina Baker Wells.  He was a graduate of Crisp County High School and worked as an electrician on commercial and residential projects.  He was married to Gretel Pyke and they made their home in Tallahassee. He was a Christian by faith.

Kenneth was a man who always put his family first. He loved unconditionally and enjoyed his time spent fishing, traveling and gardening with them. Kenneth was an avid Florida Gator fan and hardly missed an event. When the Gators weren’t playing, he enjoyed watching NASCAR and completing crossword puzzles.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Gretel Pyke of Tallahassee, FL; his children, Mike Wells and his wife, Sheila, of Bainbridge, GA, Philip Wells of Tallahassee, FL, Diana Orrick and her husband, Judson, of Tallahassee, FL, Becky Pyke of Tallahassee, FL, Tommy Pyke and his wife, Tracy, of Tallahassee, FL, and Allen Pyke  of Tallahassee, FL; his sisters, Margaret Sanders and her husband, Cecil, of Cordele, GA, Theresa Dean and her husband, Steve, of Brinson, GA and Brenda Dick and her husband, John, of Iron City, GA; his grandchildren, Tyson, Jordan, Amber, Owen, Annabella, and Jesse; and his great-grandson, TJ.  Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents.
