Funeral services for Carl Glenn “Poncho” Kilgore will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at New Covenant Assembly of God Church with the interment following in Sunnyside Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 18, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Rainey Family Funeral Services. Poncho, 60, passed away peacefully and surrounded by his family Monday, September 17, 2018 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his father, Hubert Kilgore and two children, Michelle Kilgore and Jessica Richards. Born in Los Angeles, CA, Poncho was a truck driver and a member of New Covenant Assembly of God Church. He loved trucking and was an avid hunter and fisherman. His greatest love though was his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Charlene Poole Kilgore; four sons, Chris Chisenhall, Charles Poole and Bryan Poole, all of Cordele and Carl “Bud” Kilgore and his wife, Tammy Of Pitts; his mother, Betty Jean Stone of Cordele; a brother and his wife, James and Lisa Kilgore of Cordele; sisters, Stella Gee of Cordele, Susan Cain and her husband, Grant of Jesup and Virginia Foote of Tennessee; 14 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
