CORDELE – Funeral services for Gwendolyn L. Harpe, 90, will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018 in Pleasant View Baptist Church. The family will receive friends before the service beginning at 10 a.m. Mrs. Harpe passed away Sunday, Oct. 14, 2018 at Fellowship Home at Cordelia Manor.

She was born in Rochelle, Ga. to James Henry Land and Cathryn Grantham Land.  She is preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Sutton. She is the widow of Leonard Issac Harpe, Jr.

She was a member of Penia Baptist Church. Her home activities and other activities revolved around church and mostly her family. She was a retired accounting clerk for Roobin’s Department Store.

She is survived by her sons: James (Linda) Harpe of Marietta, Julian Harpe and Charles (Felicia) Harpe all of Cordele; her grandchildren: Brandon (Kelli) Harpe, Brianna (Casey) Wilcox, Lindsey (Joey) Cyr and Jackson Harpe; and her great-grandchildren: Mackenzie Harpe, Brighton Harpe, Kayden Harpe, Kenna Harpe, Ryker Harpe and Hadley Wilcox.
