She was an active member of Sharon Baptist Church and an entrepreneur, having been involved with many business ventures in her lifetime. She was a longtime owner of a day care center in Florida and had worked for many years with Publix. She loved working in her yards, gardening and tending to her dogs. Ruth sang in a group and they loved going to the nursing homes after church and singing for the residents. Most of all she enjoyed cooking for her family and spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. Arrangements are by Rainey Family Funeral Services.
