A graveside service for Mary Frances Avery of Cordele will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Sunnyside Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday prior to the service from 1 until 1:45 p.m. at Rainey Family Funeral Services.

Frances, 90, passed away Friday, February 22, 2019 at Heart of Georgia Hospice in Perry. Born in Dooly County, she was the daughter of the late Oren Austell Easom, Sr. and Cora Truluck Easom. She was also preceded in death by  a granddaughter, Cristi Campbell, and a son-in-law, John W. Campbell.

Frances worked for many years as a seamstress with BilRay Manufacturing and Cordele Uniform where she retired as a supervisor. She then enjoyed her many years as a homemaker and spending time with her family. She was an active member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and the DAV Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband of  73 years, George W. Avery, Jr. of Cordele; three children, daughters, Doretha Campbell of Macon and Lynn Avery of Albany and son, Randy Avery of Vienna; grandchildren and their spouses, Lee and Alicia Campbell, Chad and Amanda Campbell, Blake Avery, Corey Avery and Lauren Avery; great-grandchildren Kelsey (Hillary) Hamby, Witt Campbell, Candler Campbell and Mimi Jewel Campbell; and several nieces and nephews.
