Funeral service for Marti Spires Liebno of Valdosta will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 14, 2019 in the chapel of Rainey Family Funeral Services. Burial will follow in Bay Spring Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 til 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Marti passed away Monday, June 10, 2019 at her residence.  Born in Waterville, ME, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Jackson Spires and Hazel Haney Cason. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George Liebno. Marti was a member of Free Life Church and worked in management with Habitat. A sweet and kind soul, she loved all animals from bunnies to horses and was an excellent rider. Her passion for years was the Pig Jig in Vienna and had served as chairman of the board in the past. Marti is survived by a son and his wife, Robert Earl and Ena Dare of Valdosta; two sisters, Lynn Spires of Cordele and Meredith (Jimmy Drury) of Valdosta; a brother, Danny (Rocio Trejo) Spires of Douglas; and a granddaughter, Allie Mae Dare.
