Betty Bokenhagen Eastman of Cordele went home to be with her Lord Saturday, November 2, 2019. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 6, 2019 in the chapel of Rainey Family Funeral Services. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

Betty had resided in the Cordele area since 1985 and was currently a member of Third Street Baptist Church. After becoming a Christian in 1967 she faithfully served Him in the music and teaching ministries of the church. Survivors include her son and his wife, Walter Keith Bokenhagen and Wendy Gauthier of Deerfield Beach, Fla.; granddaughter, Jenna Gauthier of Deerfield Beach, Fla.; a sister and her husband, Judith and Richard Rovnyak of Weatherford, Texas; brother and his wife, Charles and Bibi Rucker of Mt. Dora, Fla.; several nieces and nephews and many other loving family members and friends. In addition to her parents, Charles and Gertrude Broyles Rucker, she was preceded in death by husbands, Walter Bokenhagen (1985) and Bruce Eastman (2011).
