James L. “Jimmy” Thompson, age 68, of 1533 Poplar Springs Road, Byromville, died Tuesday, December 17, 2019, at Hazel Colson Hospice House in Perry.
Born in Montezuma, he was the son of the late Charlie E. “Buck” Thompson and Betty Herring Thompson and was a member of Byromville United Methodist Church. Jimmy graduated from Vienna High School and attended ABAC and Georgia Southwestern. He was a farmer and a pilot. He loved fishing, flying, and riding motorcycles.
He is survived by his son, Bucky Thompson of Byromville; his daughter, Emmy T. Reid (Blake) of Vienna; his sisters, Jean Weeks of Dooling and Kay Humphries (Jim) of Mountville; his grandchildren, Ella Reid and Bryce Reid.
He is also survived by his former wife and the mother of his children, Jane Thompson of Vienna.
No services will be held.
