Rev. Joseph Neese conducted a graveside service for Larry C. Walker of Vienna at 3:00 p.m. Monday, December 30, 2019 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn. Eric Butler sang two songs, “Go Rest High On that Mountain” and “Amazing Grace.” Pallbearers were Wendell Rooks, Kimberly Thomas, Russell Swartz, Tommy Sinnott, Bryson Smith and Noel Wade. Members of the Red Knights Motorcycle Club served as honorary pallbearers. The family received friends before the service from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m. at Rainey Family Funeral Services. Larry, 65, passed away Friday, December 27, 2019 at his residence. Born in Fort Stewart, he was the son of the late Charles William Walker and Nettie Hill Walker. He was the co-owner/operator of L&W Truck and Trailer Repair and a member of Sycamore Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Red Knights Motorcycle Club. Larry is survived by his children and their spouses, Rebecca Walker, William and Yvonne Baker-Walker and Elizabeth and Bryson Smith, all of Cordele; his significant other, Carolyn Atkins of Vienna; brothers, Gary Stringer-Walker and Will Stringer-Walker of Macon and Dale Walker of Ashburn; a grandson, Malakai Smith and a granddaughter, Kimberly Thomas.
