Funeral services for Mary Jane Simmons of Cordele will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 25, 2020 in the chapel of Rainey Family Funeral Services. The interment will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service Saturday beginning at 1:00 p.m. Mary Jane, 76, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2020 in Bonaire, GA. Born in Waycross, she was the daughter of the late Charles Palmer Hamilton and Sarah Roquemore Hamilton. She was a member of Peavy United Methodist Church. Mary Jane was a retired teacher. She loved sewing, antique cars, traveling and collectibles. Mary Jane is survived by her husband of 52 years, Tommy Simmons of Cordele; two children Bert Simmons and his wife Laura of Senoia, GA and Jane Conn and her husband Scott of Bonaire, GA; four grandchildren Madison Marie Conn, Gracie Simmons, Scarlett Simmons, and Mae Simmons; and a sister Sarah Ann Boucher of Albany, GA.
