Dooly imposes curfew in response to COVID-19

Dooly County formally declared a state of emergency effective at noon Tuesday. The emergency declaration mandates a curfew between the hours of 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. Law enforcement personnel, healthcare workers, and residents traveling directly to and from work are among those excepted from the curfew.

The emergency declaration also requires Dooly County restaurants to close except to provide take out, delivery, drive-through, or curbside service. All public or private community gatherings of more than 10 people are prohibitied as well.

All other retail, commercial, or industrial establishments will be permitted to remain open provided that they follow social distancing measures and do not allow employees with COVID-19-like symptoms to work.
