Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Kathy Wilson Murdock, age 61 of Cordele passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2022 after a heroic battle with cancer. She and her husband, Andy, reside at Lake Blackshear and were active members of Antioch Baptist Church.

Kathy had a love for serving and giving to others. She opened Kathy & Co. Boutique in 2015. Kathy was fulfilling one of her biggest dreams, giving to her community and providing opportunities to her friends, by keeping them in style! She gave of herself in mission and volunteer work and giving to the less fortunate. She was a loving wife, “bonus mom”, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and special friend to many.

Kathy enjoyed traveling whether it was “glamping” or “jet-setting.” All the while looking as though she had just stepped off the runway!

Kathy was born on May 14, 1961 in Cordele, a special gift on Mother’s Day. She is survived by her husband, Andy, and bonus daughter, Mary Margaret; her mother, Harriet Sirmons; sisters, Peggy Crenshaw (Mark), Susie Gordon (Graham); her nephew, John Wilson Gordon; nieces Sara Darley Crenshaw and Ana Claire Gordon. In addition, step-mother, Jackie Wilson and half sisters, Becky and Laura, and special friends, Jackie and Jim Paulk. She was preceded in death by her father Larry Glendon Wilson and a special cousin James Bailey Bodrey. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Methodist Home for Children and Youth, P.O. Box 2525, Macon, GA 31204;  or online at <https://www.themethodisthome.org/donate/donate-general-operations/> or by helping a family in need during the holiday season in her memory.

A memorial service to celebrate Kathy’s life will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2022 in the chapel of Rainey Family Funeral Services. The family will greet friends prior to the service Friday beginning at 3:00 p.m.
