Northern Heights Baptist Church has a group of seniors that spend a lot of their time reaching out to the community and helping those in need. They have an outreach mission, to help tp encourage others you have a need whether it be from reading the Bible to visiting ones who are in nursing homes. Their goal is to do something to make lives a little more pleasant. The group is open to all who are 55 or older. The senior adults are important to the church and most of all to our Lord. The church desires to give them a place in which they can continue to grow in grace and knowledge of the Lord whilst also allowing them to express the wisdom they have achieved throughout their lives. Their purpose is to meet the needs of the seniors in many ways such as spiritually, mentally, physically and emotionally. The seniors use their gifts, skills and experiences through fellowship, encouragement, friendship, compassion and outreach.

For the past 3 years the senior group has taken a portion of their budget that would usually be used for them at Christmas time and donates it to a local cause.

This year they have chosen to give $500 to Reflections Hospice in Cordele.

Rodney Chappell the Chaplin at Reflections Hospice came to Northern Heights to accept the donation from the New Pastor, Aaron Moore.

Chappell mentioned that the money will go towards getting Christmas baskets for the patients.
