Maffett, born and raised in Macon County and, a life long lover of ranching and Tripp’s wife, Ninna Pippa. Maffett, spent time riding different horses and learning
about livestock. Around 6-7 years ago he decided to make horse training a full-time career with J Bar N Horsemanship. Maffett says,”J Bar N isn’t just a thing or an idea.
It’s a way of life. This is where hard work meets tradition.” The business offers a range of natural horsemanship training services that are tailored to the needs of you and
your horse. Maffett believes in building a strong bond with your horse that is based on trust and understanding. They work with all types of horses from a young colt, to
a seasoned rope horse that just needs a little tune up. Maffett says, “Our horses and cattle are who we are. We brand our livestock for tradition, and we treat our animals with
respect. When working with a horse , I take an open approach. I work at the horse’s speed and ability. We can get your trail horses tuned-up, or we get them working livestock.”
