Rose Marie Spivey Watkins, Age 68, of Cedartown GA passed away on May 19, 2024 at her residence after several years of declining health. She was born on February 14, 1956 to the late Edd Hobbs Sr and Doris Cox Hobbs. She was also preceded in death by her late husband in 2016, Melvin Douglas Watkins, and prior husband Eddie Bill Spivey, and also preceded by her sister Elaine Hobbs Worley, and brother David Hobbs.

She graduated from Crisp County High School in 1974 and obtained an Associate Degree from Brewton Parker College where she majored in Music & Piano. She was employed for many years as a nutritional dietician with Newnan Hospital in Newnan GA. Upon her departure and relocation to Raleigh NC, she assumed the same position at a hospital in Raleigh.  She later became disabled from a stroke while employed and then later relocated to Lawrenceville GA where she resided until her husband passed. She relocated to Cedartown GA in 2017 where she remained until her passing.

She enjoyed cooking, catering, gospel/country music, singing, playing the piano, shopping, going to auctions, and spending time with her friends and family including her grandchildren. She enjoyed talking on the phone and loved going all different places before her health started declining. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and great-aunt who always kept up with all the family. She will be sorely missed by those she has left behind.

She is survived by her Son: Chris Spivey of Wedowee, AL and Grandchildren: Dalton Spivey and Aubree Spivey of Wedowee, AL. Brother & Sister-in-law: Edd Hobbs Jr and Tammy of Mobile, AL.
