In the early hours approximately 12:30 am of June 4, 2024 law enforcement was called out to an accident that occurred on I-75 south bound in Crisp County around the 98 mile marker. 37 year old woman of Arabi was said to have been hanging out the passenger side window with no restrains/seatbelt whilst the vehicle was driving down I-75 south bound. At some point the woman had fallen out of the passenger side window and came to rest in the middle lane of I-75. A tractor-trailer driver was unable to break, or swerve to avoid. She was struck and declared deceased shortly after.

The Crisp County Sheriff’s Office and the Cordele Police Department assisted in clearing traffic from the interstate to exit 99 while GSP took over the investigation.
