PITTS — Steve Dickson Gaither, 71, of Georgia passed away at his family home April 27, 2016. A private memorial service will be at a later time.
He is preceded in death by his father, Henry Shade Gaither, mother Margaret Gaither, and sister, Alice Faye Parton.
He was a native of Talladega and longtime resident of Georgia. He was a past Mason in Cordele, GA. He willed his body to Medical Research.
He is survived by, son, Jeffrey L. Gaither, his daughter, Trina Gaither, grandchildren, Rachel Ann Gaither, Brittney Lee Gaither, god-granddaughter, Mallory Wright, great-grandchildren, Zayda Rae Terc, and Cylee Jade Terc, sisters, Sara (Wayne) Pilkington, Jewel (Billy) Russell, Henrietta (Billy) Neville, Inez Ferguson, brothers, Danny (Diana) Gaither, Ralph (Tricia) Gaither, numerous nieces and nephews, brother-in-law, Eddie Parton. Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega, Alabama has charge of the arrangements.
