CORDELE — Funeral services for Jimmy R. Rentfrow will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 4, 2015 in the chapel Of Rainey Family Funeral Services with Rev. Phil Streetman and Rev. Bobby L. Ward officiating. Burial will follow in Arabi Cemetery.
The family will greet friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, October 3 at the funeral home.  Jimmy, 77,  passed away Friday at his residence.  He was born in Wenona and was the son of the late Luther Wilson and Nannie Virginia Allison Rentfrow.  A United States Army veteran, he was retired from Best Manufacturing and after retirement had worked with Southland Chrysler.  He was an active member of Lake Blackshear Baptist Church where he served on the Board of Deacons.
Jimmy loved his family, his dogs and enjoyed bird hunting.  He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Rachel Rentfrow of Cordele; three children and their spouses, Donna and Allan York of Cordele, Toby Spires, Jr. and Tonya Morton of Atlanta and Neal and Peggy Johnson of Vienna and Nettie Penn of Cordele, the mother of several of his grandchildren; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.  He was preceded in death by siblings, Wilson Rentfrow, Loren Rentfrow, Everette Rentfrow, Lee Rentfrow, Christine Fitzgerald and Thelma Rentfrow.
