With David Carr having suffered a season ending broken leg, the Oakland Raiders highflying offense will fall for certain. Conner Cook the rookie QB from Michigan State will be getting his first start ever and it will be a playoff game, that is not a good place to start. Also given the fact that Cook wasn’t that good at Michigan State in my humble opinion, the ingredients are there for what one might call a terrible game. Houston is at best an average team but they do play defense pretty good. The Texans have had QB issues as well but will be reinserting their starting QB Brock Osweiler. I don’t know whether to cheer for them or cry. My guess is this, Houston is at home but Oakland has a better team but Oakland losing Carr is huge. The Texans defensive line led by Clowney will feast on Cook and Houston wins 21-17.

Next up is Detroit @ Seattle. Playing in Seattle is the single worst place to play in the NFL also many of the Detroit Lions were not even born the last time they won a playoff game, I mean Mathew Stafford was 3 years old. Seattle has a vicious defense and a decent offense. This one is not even close Seattle 31 and Detroit 12. Miami is back in the playoffs for the first time in 8 years playing in Pittsburgh and they are using a back up quarterback. I grew up a Dolphins fan and we are an endangered species. Steelers will slaughter Miami, hmmmm let’s say 34 to 17. What should be the best game this weekend is the New York Giants and the Green Bay Packers. This game pits to very old franchises and two seasoned quarterbacks. Eli Manning has two Super Bowl wins and Aaron Rogers along with Tom Brady are the one two punch best two QB’s in the game today for the last 7 years. The Giants seem to get real lucky around playoff time and the Packers seem to just get better. I can see a war brewing but I think Lambeau field will see a lot of guys leaping into the stands; Packers win it 23 to 21.joejoe-4-copy
