ROCHELLE — Halloween is just around the corner and for many it will be a night of ghosts, ghouls, and goblins. Rev. Danny Allen and members of Pope City Baptist Church invite the public to come have a dose of “Reality” as the church presents “Reality House 2015.”
Eternity awaits you…. Will you spend it with Christ or will the journey for you begin with YOUR FIRST 6 DAYS IN HELL!
That is the theme for the event which is in its 18th year.
“Our Reality House presentation is a walk-through drama that takes place in a series of up to six rooms,” said Rev. Allen. “The series of rooms in which the drama unfolds combine to tell a story. Each story or “script” is unique in its setting, characters, and plot and is a relevant interpretation of events happening in the world today. Although the scripts are different, all of the scripts ask the same important question — What will you do with God’s offer of a saving and personal relationship with His Son Jesus Christ?”
“Your First 6 Days In Hell” is based upon scripture from Mark 16:16 KJV which reads, “He that believeth and is baptized shall be SAVED; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
The scenes that will be depicted during the Reality House will show the fate of anyone who is unsaved. Visitors will see how Satan plays a role in the every day lives of all of us on this earth through the choices that we make.
Allen says it is their prayer that no one would experience an eternity in Hell, however the reality is that there are those who will.
“Through this year’s presentation, we hope to help others understand they still have a chance to change their destination.”
Allen says the Reality House usually averages over 400 visitors each year. He said that God has blessed the church through this outreach ministry and they are looking forward to this year being the most successful year to date.
