CORDELE — A local music instructor was arrested and charged with sexual battery involving one of his minor students.
Barry Coffee, age 48 of Cordele, of Barry’s Music Lessons and Repair, was charged after an investigation revealed he had inappropriately touched a 16-year old female.
Coffee was the young woman’s violin instructor and the incident occurred during one of the student’s lessons.
The young woman then went home and reported the incident to her mother, who contacted the Cordele Police Department.
