Driver trapped when truck overturns

CORDELE — A local man was transported to Crisp Regional Hospital Tuesday afternoon after overturning his vehicle off of Highway 257 near Midway Road.
It is uncertain what caused 70-year old Walter Mason to lose control of his vehicle but he left the roadway, striking an embankment before overturning. The vehicle came to rest on the passenger side. He was traveling south heading in the direction of town.
Mr. Mason was taken by Crisp County EMS to Crisp Regional Hospital for observation.
No other details were available as of press time.
