CORDELE — Christmas is just around the corner. While children everywhere are looking forward to climbing on Santa’s lap and telling him all their Christmas wishes, parents are not looking forward to the long lines at the malls or local stores.
Crisp County High School will once again be hosting their “Cookies with Santa,” a great way for kids to meet the man in red without mom and dad having to deal with the long-line meltdown.
The event will be held on Thursday, December 3 from 5 PM until 7 PM in the CCHS Cafetorium.
Many student clubs from CCHS will be sponsoring activities for children as they wait for their turn to see Santa. Kids will get to decorate and eat cookies, there will be reindeer punch, face painting, letters to Santa, you can take selfies in the photo booth and there will be a complete kiddie obstacle course.
Admission for the event is one, unwrapped new toy per child or a $10 donation. Photos with Santa will be $5. All proceeds (toys and monetary donations) collected at the event will benefit local children.
CCHS students ask that you come out and help support this special cause. For more information contact Angie Wilkerson at (229)276-3430.
