VIENNA – Some 2000 years after the bible recorded the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth, churches have sprung up as Christianity spread across the world.   Today, go into any town and you can find a church.  Over the years, some differences in doctrine have crept in and somewhat have caused disunity and sectarian social groups.  Today, differences in Bible interpretation and views have caused many of the churches to have lackluster support and influence in the community.
Despite all of this, the great commission to the church is still to ‘take the gospel to every creature’ – isn’t it?   I believe many churches are full of ritual worship that would not be what Christ wants from HIS Church.   Wouldn’t you agree?
Yes, there are ‘good’ churches and pastors who share the love of Jesus everywhere they go but especially at Christmas.   With all that is going on in our world, Rev. Lloyd Haskett, Sr Founder & Pastor of Brotherly Love Ministries and Athen Hill Baptist Church in Vienna is extending the invitation to those willing hearts and souls who will help him make Christmas a little brighter for some of the loneliest members of our community – the sick and shut in housed in local nursing care facilities.  This mission field has become our Christmas Angels Project.
Our Christmas Angels Project looks to serve 50 of the neediest residents in the nursing home with a gift for Christmas.  These are elderly residents who may have loss all of their immediate family.   With your generous support, the project will be off to a good start.   All the Christmas gifts will be delivered by Christmas and for your reference, here are the nursing home facilities that we support:
Montezuma Health Care Center  – Montezuma, GA
Pruitt Health Care Center of Ashburn – Ashburn, GA
Fort Valley Health & Rehab Center – Fort Valley, GA
Crossview Senior Care Center – Pineview, GA
Cordele Health & Rehab Center – Cordele, GA
Crisp Regional Rehab Center – Cordele, GA
Miona Geriatric and Dementia Center – Ideal, GA
Pinehill Nursing Home – Byromville, GA
