Armed robber pleads guilty

CORDELE — One of five defendants involved in multiple armed robberies around the city plead guilty Wednesday in Crisp County Superior Court. Alfred Ford, Jr. entered his guilty plea for charges of Armed Robbery, Aggravated Assault, and Burglary.
According to Cordele Police Detective Ketorie Sales the group robbed multiple businesses over a short amount of time around the city in 2015. Ford’s co-defendants; Christopher Felder, Gregory Ross, Raheem Montford, and Montrell Clayton, have already entered guilty pleas. Ford was the last remaining to go to court.
Ford was sentenced to 30 years, 20 to be served in a state prison.
