CORDELE — The Crisp County Lions Club was recently visited by District Governor Hannah Flynn who gave an informative talk on what it means to be a “Lion.”

Flynn recognized Lion Charles Hughes for 25 years as a Lion.

Flynn lauded the club for all their hard work and informed them of ways they can continue to grow as Lions. She invited members to participate in the “Camp for the Blind Lions Day” on July 16. She also encouraged members to become Guiding Lions to assist other clubs.

Flynn also updated the club on the Georgia Lions Lighthouse, which has given away thousands of pairs of eyeglasses and performed countless eye surgeries. They also provide eye screening for ages 6 months to 6 years.

Club President Gary Cross thanked Flynn for visiting the club.
