Van Crashes into Local Hotel

An elderly driver from Florida was lucky this afternoon. At approximately 1:42 p.m. the driver of a handicap equipped Ford van had has gas pedal stick and he crashed through the front door of room 140 at the Best Western Inn in Cordele. Luckily his van missed the structural support walls and damage to the vehicle and the one room was all that was apparent. The driver was unharmed. “I am certainly glad the driver nor anyone else was injured in this accident, we can fix this damage,” said Greg Turton owner. The vehicle was drivable but room 140 will be under repair for the next week.
